All Toronto Parishes Invited To Cathedral For Forgiveness Vespers

On Sunday, Mar. 17, 2024, all the parishes from the Toronto deanery (St. Andrew’s, St. Anne’s, and St. Demetrius) are invited to join us at the Cathedral as we serve Forgiveness Vespers at 6pm.

The service of Vespers on Forgiveness Sunday (Cheese-fare Sunday) inaugurates the Great Fast (the penitential period leading to Holy Pascha, the Bright Resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ).

At the end of this service, the Rite of Mutual Forgiveness — at which all the assembled ask one another in turn for reconciliation, so that all may enter the period of preparation that is the Lenten Spring in harmony.

У неділю, 17 березня 2024 року, всі парафії у Торонто (св. Андрія, св. Анни та св. Димитрія) запрошені приєднатися до нас у катедральному соборі на Прощену Вечірню о 18:00.

Вечірня у Прощену неділю (Сиропусну) відкриває Великий піст (покаянний період, що веде до Святої Пасхи, Світлого Воскресіння Господа і Спасителя нашого Ісуса Христа).

Наприкінці цього богослужіння відбувається Чин взаємного прощення, під час якого всі присутні по черзі просять один в одного примирення, щоб у злагоді увійти в період підготовки до Великого посту - Великодньої весни.
